Carlos A. Lopez del Cid founded Delcid Erosion Control LLC in July 2019, bringing 25 years of hands-on experience in erosion control, construction, and agriculture. Originally from El Salvador, Carlos moved to Raleigh in 1999 in search of a better future. He spent two decades working in the industry before he was finally able to bring his wife and two daughters to the United States in 2017.
Starting the company took persistence. Carlos spent four months knocking on doors before securing his first project on October 30, 2019, an opportunity provided by Landon Walls at Lennar. On his way to that first job, a deer collided with his truck and totaled it. Even so, he kept going. That same determination helped grow Delcid into the North Carolina-licensed General Contractor it is today.
